Homeopathy is a system of individualized medicine that is specific to a person’s unique needs and their experience of symptoms. Homeopathy addresses the “whole” person meaning I look at what a person is experiencing physically, mentally and emotionally together. Homeopathy supports the whole person, not just one part.
One of the main principals of Homeopathy is the Law of Similars - “like treats like”. My role is to listen, observe and understand you deeply to choose a homeopathic remedy that is most “similar” to the totality of what you are uniquely experiencing.
Homeopathy is nontoxic and can be used with small children, animals, and plants.

Homeopathy is a unique system of medicine within complementary and integrative healthcare. Although homeopathic remedies come from natural substances, homeopathy should not be confused with herbal medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine, essential oils, and other supplements.
Homeopathy differs from conventional medicine in several ways, including how symptoms are defined, how “medicines” are chosen, how much “medicine” is given, and the cost.
Homeopathy regards symptoms as a person’s healthy attempt to restore balance. Therefore, a homeopathic practitioner chooses a remedy that supports the body’s use of symptoms to alleviate illness. Conventional medicines aim to suppress symptoms.
Homeopathy recognizes that each person exhibits “sickness” uniquely and slightly differently. A homeopathic practitioner selects a remedy that fits a person’s symptoms, while conventional medicine professionals often attempt to fit the person to the medicine.
A person takes just enough homeopathic remedy to stimulate a healing response. Conventional medicines typically control illness with repeated doses.
Homeopathic remedies cost less than most conventional medicines. A multi-dose bottle of remedy costs approximately $12 to $20.

Many times I am asked can homeopathy help with a particular diagnosis or illness or condition. The answer is YES and NO. No because Homeopathy is not used for any specific diagnosis or condition. YES because Homeopathy treats YOU the person who is experiencing not only the physical but also mental and emotional symptoms. How, What, Where, When and Why of what YOU are experiencing is the focus of Homeopathy. While a diagnosis provides some general information, it is just one piece of the totality of information which will be used in the remedy selection.

Homeopathic remedies are potentized substances where the original material was sourced from nature (i.e. plant, animal, mineral). The original substance is made into a mother tincture. 1 drop of the mother tincture is added to a predetermined number of alcohol drops. This step is called DILUTION. Depending on the desired potency, the ratio of tincture to alcohol will vary. A ‘X’ potency will be a 1:10. A ‘C’ potency will be 1:100. After the tincture is added to the alcohol the solution is then is strongly shaken. This is called SUCCUSSION. This process is repeated (dilution and succussion) multiple times again based on the desired potency. It is the combination of DILUTION and SUCCUSSION which potentized the mixture and creates the homeopathic remedy. This process eliminates any harmful aspects of the original substance while maintaining the beneficial healing properties.

Over the past 200 years, nearly all definitions for “classical” homeopathy focus on the following guiding principles:
Like Cures Like: Homeopathy is based on the principle of “like cures like.” A substance that can cause disease symptoms in a healthy person can help a sick person with similar symptoms. For example, cutting an onion may cause watery eyes, sneezing, and a runny nose. A homeopathic remedy made from an onion helps heal similar cold and hay fever symptoms.
Totality of Symptoms: Two people with the same illness may not need the same remedy because homeopathy supports all a person’s symptoms, not just their primary complaint. For an upset stomach, someone who is chilly and not thirsty would need a different remedy than someone who feels hot and craves water.
Minimum Dose: Less is truly more with homeopathic remedy dosing. A person needs just enough homeopathic remedy to stimulate a healing response. When they start to feel better, it’s time to stop taking the remedy. If symptoms return, a remedy can then be repeated.

Homeopathy and conventional medicine can complement each other well and may be taken simultaneously. There is no evidence to suggest that homeopathic medicines interfere with prescription drugs or dietary supplements. The opposite is not true – conventional drugs can interfere with homeopathic remedies. Steroids, tranquilizers, oral contraceptives, sleeping pills, antihistamines, as well as antibiotics may affect the effects of homeopathic remedies. It is important for the Homeopath to know what other items you are taking so they they can properly assess your response to the remedy. While response may be slower due to the suppressive nature of the medications, there will still be a benefit from taking the homeopathic remedies.
Another way to understand this can be thought of as Chemistry vs Physics. Medications (over the counter or prescription) and dietary supplements fall under the category of Chemistry. Chemical compounds were combined in a specific way to cause a chemical reaction within the biology of our physical bodies. Homeopathic remedies fall under the category of Physics. The one law of physics that everyone understands it gravity. We know there is a “force” or “energy” that affects a material substance. You hold a ball up in the air and let go. We see the ball fall to the ground. We don’t see the “force (gravity)” that pulled the ball (material) to the ground but we saw the action on the ball. Homeopathic remedies interact with our vital force - the energy state within us that is responsible for stimulating our healing response, immune system and emotional regulation. Scientific technology already exists that measures energy within our physical bodies (i.e. ECG for the heart and EEG for the brain). This is not a new concept.
Never stop taking a prescribed drug without talking to your health care practitioner first.

That depends how you are working with a Homeopath.
Acute care typically lasts 3-5 days.
Focused care will depend on the nature of the focused care plan.
Constitutional Care should be expected to be at least 12 months or longer. However, YOU are in control of your own journey and decide how long you want to integrate homeopathic care into your wellness practice.

Consulting with a homeopathic practitioner is often an out-of-pocket expense. However funds from a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) can be used to pay for Homeopathic consultations and remedies. If you are intending to use funds from one of these types of plans, be sure to review the EXCLUSIONS section of your specific account to verify that Homeopathy is not listed.

During the 1930s, Dr. Edward Bach—a pioneering physician and homeopath—discovered a revolutionary way to support emotional wellbeing.
Believing that emotions held the key to good health, he dedicated his life to exploring the natural world around him, creating remedies from wildflowers, trees, and plants.
Bach Original Flower Remedies are a gentle, natural system of 38 remedies, that help you focus on identifying the emotions you are feeling and choosing a corresponding essence to help you work through that emotion and find its positive potential outcome.
BACH Flower Essences can be utilized as a standalone modality or in tandem with other therapeutics. When combined with other modalities, such as Homeopathy, they can provide real time, gentle support for emotional wellbeing.
